GrowSense RBW01 LED User Manual
RBW01 Spectrum Control:
Plants use light in a process called photosynthesis to produce energy that can be used by the plant to grow and produce fruit. Light is characterised by its frequency and plants can “see” and use light within the PAR frequency spectrum which is 400-700nm. As the plant progresses through the different stages of its lifecycle it will use more or less of the light spectrum depending on what goal it is trying to achieve. During the vegetative or growth stage the plant will use more high frequency, high energy blue light (400-500nm) however, during the flowering and fruiting stages the plant will make use of more low frequency, low energy red light (600-700nm). The purpose of the RBW spectrum control system is to allow for changes in the light output spectrum during the different stages of a plants life without reducing or altering the light output intensity. This not only keeps the plants happy it also ensures very high grow light efficiency.
The spectrum on the RBW grow light can be altered by changing the position of the rotary switch as detailed below.
Setting 1- Balanced spectrum 130W:
The Balanced setting provides a balanced spectrum of red, blue and white light and can be used as a general purpose setting for all indoor grow applications

Setting 2 - Flower 130W:
The Flower setting boosts the red light spectrum and reduces the blue light spectrum to allow for fast and healthy fruit/flower production

Setting 3 - Growth 130W:
The Growth setting boosts the blue light spectrum and reduces the red light spectrum to allow for more high frequency light during the vegetation stages

Setting 4 - Seedlings 45W:
The Seedling setting offers a blue spectrum focused light output at a dimmed setting of 45W for use with seedlings or very young plants. This setting can be used very close to the young plants and significantly reduces power use during the early stages

Settings 5 to 8 - Configurable:
These settings are user configurable in the RF enabled version and provide dimmed levels of the Balanced spectrum in the stand alone versions. 5 = 80%, 6 = 60%, 7 = 40%, 8 = 20%.
Setting 9 - Inspection:
This setting is not for plant growth but provides a clear white light which is ideal for spotting mould, pests or other issues.

It is becoming increasingly important to understand and control the quality of air inside our homes and work environments. Indoor air pollutant concentrations can reach levels far greater than outdoor environments, and this can create an unsafe and unsuitable quality of life.
The Environment Indoor Air Quality Index (EIAQI) is a simple, yet effective way to categorise indoor air quality against a variety of pollutants and uses six levels to determine air quality from excellent to hazardous.
Our product AirSense® offers a full suite of air quality measurements including volatile organic compounds, CO2, humidity, and temperature and uses this information to relay the air quality to the user through a simple, easy to understand, LED traffic light interface. With the click of a button, it is possible to switch the display to show either the EIAQI level or the concentration of CO2 within the environment.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids. VOCs include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short and long-term adverse health effects. Concentrations of many VOCs are consistently higher indoors (up to ten times higher) than outdoors and are emitted by a wide array of products numbering in the thousands.
CO2 displaces oxygen and in high concentrations becomes a poison that negatively impacts our lives and day-to-day activities. High concentrations of CO2 can cause headaches, dizziness, and fatigue, as well as serious complications such as seizures or loss of consciousness.
- Measures total VOC content in parts per million
- Measures CO2 with a range from 400 ppm to 10,000 ppm with an accuracy of 10ppm
- CO2 NDIR sensor with a lifetime of 15 years, no calibration required
- Temperature measurement range and working temperature is from -20C to 70C
- Intelligent design offering a highly accurate way to monitor the air you breathe
